I have to say that my stay at The Whitehall Hotel in Chicago was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The location couldn’t have been more perfect—centrally situated and within easy walking distance of all the major attractions, shopping, and dining the city has to offer. The staff were incredibly accommodating and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Although our original room was still occupied when we checked in, they quickly resolved the situation by upgrading us to a beautiful corner room. The views from that room were absolutely incredible—definitely a happy surprise that made our stay even more memorable. While the breakfast at the hotel looked delicious and well-presented, we chose to explore local eateries since we were only in Chicago for a short time and wanted to experience as much of the city as possible. Still, it was great knowing that an on-site option was available. The hotel itself had a classic charm, with a cozy yet upscale atmosphere that made it feel like a home away from home. From the cleanliness of the rooms to the professionalism of the staff, everything was top-notch. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to the city and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place to stay in Chicago.

The bed was very comfortable, pillows and sheets were excellent and I slept very well as a result. This is important when I choose a hotel. I'd stay here again just for the good quality bed. Bathroom was nice, good water pressure and temperature. Loved the Italian tile, and it was absolutely spotless. The sink needs new taps, they are rather worn and grungy, although they were clean. Some concerns, my room was apparently near the building utilities, and there was a vibration in the room when the AC or fan went on. I was on the 6th floor, and my windows looked directly into a solid concrete wall across a narrow alley way. No view of anything at all. The carpet and the wallpaper were very nice, well decorated. The chair was worn and frayed, needs to be replaced, and the small couch was ok. Refrigerator didn't get cold. Overall it was a nice quiet room and I enjoyed the stay.

The room was ample in size with all the amenities I needed, situated at the end of the hall so no neighbors on one side. I had partial views of the Hancock and Water Tower shops. I had a comfortable king bed with plenty of pillows, a couch, desk, and credenza with TV and mini-fridge. When I called the front desk to report issue with the TV, the engineer quickly (within minutes) came up to investigate and brought me a new TV. When I requested more towels, they were brought up warm and again within minutes. When I requested ice, that too was brought up within minutes. I was very pleased with front desk and staff service for the 7 nights I stayed. The breakfast seemed ample to me, but I partake very little of it. The location cannot be beat!! Close to Oak Street Beach, shops, restaurants, tourist attractions, etc.

It's about Location, we were lucky , if you like walking then I would say everything was in walking distance. Restaurants and cafeterias were literally around the corner. My first time in Chicago, the hotel provided all we needed since we were out most of the day. Safe location which is very important. The hotel is next to the Willis tower, a short walk to the lake and my favorite restaurant located below level of the Willis Tower was the Cheesecake Factory. Round the corner all the shops , malls and food places.

The staff at the front desk was very helpful. (I'm sorry I don't remember her name!) The location was great - we walked to the "bean", the Art Institute, and even the Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum, but the bus is also very convenient. The breakfast was good - scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, cut up fruit, miso, and even bao. Many restaurants around, but I went to the Wow Bao in the Water Tower across the street twice for their soup! The room has a fridge, and we were given a microwave upon request.
